Kubernetes Training: From Docker Containers to Production Clusters
Kevin KrögerTraining & Workshops
Kubernetes is the standard for container orchestration, and one of the most complex technologies in modern IT. Without proper training, K8s projects quickly fail. Our training is radically practical: Every concept is immediately applied. After 3 days, your team manages K8s clusters independently.
From Docker to Kubernetes: The right progression
Docker is the foundation. Kubernetes works on top. Our training doesn't assume Docker knowledge: we start with containers, images, registries, and networks. Then from Pods to Deployments to Services.
This ensures everyone's on the same page, regardless of prior experience.
Training content: Everything for productive K8s
Day 1: Docker basics, image building, Docker Compose, Kubernetes architecture. Day 2: Deployments, Services, Ingress, ConfigMaps, Secrets, Persistent Volumes. Day 3: Helm, monitoring with Prometheus/Grafana, logging, security, CI/CD.
Every module: 30% theory, 70% hands-on. Participants build a complete application in a real cluster.
Managed K8s vs. self-hosted: Decision support
EKS, AKS, GKE vs. self-hosted: the decision has enormous implications for costs, maintenance, and flexibility. In the training, we analyze the options for your specific use case.
Our experience: For most mid-sized companies, managed K8s is the right choice. Self-hosted only makes sense when you have a dedicated platform team.
Conclusion
Kubernetes training is the prerequisite for successful container orchestration. Without, you're driving a race car without a license: fast but dangerous.
